Attorney Don Loose discusses a few of the 14 potential ballot measures that may -or may not- make it to the November ballot. Well ahead of voting day, the County Recorders send out pamphlets to Arizona’s 4 million registered voters. The pamphlet explains each proposed measure. For the Abortion Access Act proposal, the wording of the description is being questioned in court. Another proposition, Prop 314: Immigration and Border Law Enforcement Measure, is being questioned in court as it may contain more than one subject, making it invalid.

Proponents and opponents of the measures are under pressure to get these details settled. Arizona’s early voting begins on October 9th this year, so the clock is ticking to get the wording and questions on validity nailed down so the pamphlets can be mailed out in time.
